Learning lunches

Join us as we share learning from seven years’ experience of supporting public services in co-production and related approaches. These free 30-minute webinars fit into a lunchtime, leaving you with insights and tools that will support high-quality involvement of people and communities in your work.

Upcoming sessions

We’ll be holding the learning lunches on LinkedIn Live, which makes it easy to continue conversations after the session, and for us to answer questions. You’ll need a (free) LinkedIn account to register. We’ll also stream live to YouTube, which you can view without a YouTube account.

We’ll announce the next Learning Lunch shortly.

If you have a topic you’d like us to cover, are interested in being a guest speaker, or just want to find out more, get in touch.

Past sessions

August 1st: Patient leaders and the ‘usual suspects’: who do we need to hear from most?

Patient involvement is a precious and limited resource, so who we involve matters. How can you target your involvement efforts to where they will do the most good?

This session explored:

* Frameworks for deciding who you need to hear from the most in any involvement work
* Making difficult decisions about inclusion and exclusion
* Methods for reaching people you haven’t reached before

You can watch the session on the LinkedIn event page or here:

August 15th: Paying participants for involvement – what difference can it make?

This session explored paying participants for involvement. Some people insist all participants should be paid, others that it’s unnecessary or undesirable. It’s a complicated and sometimes emotional area to pick through. We’ll explore:

* Whether we need to pay people
* Different models for financial payment
* Alternatives and additions to financial reward

August 29th, 12:30: Integrating lived experience: three approaches your organisation can take

Previous sessions looked at ways to improve your work using lived experience from outside your organisation. This session explored developing the value of lived experience within your organisation. This is a resource that is often underused – setting it free can improve your outcomes as well as your working lives. We looked at:

* Creating a culture in which lived experience can thrive
* A 360° approach to integrating lived experience through diverse roles
* Practical tips on recruiting for lived experience.
